Pneumatic tires on these scooters is a really stupid idea. I was torn between this one (solid) and the other ones out there that have the holes around the circumference to soften the ride. Glad i went with the solid as I don't feel any difference between this and the pneumatic. FWIW, I replaced this tire onto the rear wheel, the one without the motor.
Installation is tricky, but simple if you know the trick.... put the tire in an appropriately sized stock pot full of water and bring it to a boil.... after it's boiling, (using gloves to protect your hands from the heat), it can be pretty easily stretched over the rim by hand... i used a small plastic bicycle tool to help persuade it a little bit, but could have done without. Make sure you have the tread direction in the orientation you want, because your'e not removing this tire after installing it without cutting it. When the front tire goes... i'll replace it too.
Note, I tried to install the original tire with a replacement tube, and after hours of cursing and fighting, got the thing on only to discover I had ruptured the tube with all the effort...
