Well, when you see the LED display on the building of the market, or as a background of the concert, you may say: wow, what a big LED display. And have you ever though that why it call LED display or LED wall, I mean why it dont be called ABD, ACD, etc.
Than you should know LED is short for Light Emitting Diode which emitting light not caused by heat.
The diode emits light when flowing through two specially coated silicon semiconductors.

You dont have to know what exactly Si Semiconductor is. Just keep in mind that silicon is resistant to very high temperature and current. The maximum operation temperature of silicon transistors is 150oC, and the main advantages of semiconductors based on the Si are long life cycle, small volume, lightweight, simple production, great mechanical strength, low supplying power, economical production.
An LED often be moulded into transparent plastic. This ensures high durability.

How the little LEDs on the display form a pictures or a video
An LED display consists of many closely-spaced LEDs, there are three color of LED, Red, Blue and Green. They are called three primary colors. The three primary colors refer to the three basic colors in color that cannot be broken down. By using the three primary colors, we can mix any color that can be perceived by human vision.
These three colors combine to form a pixel. By adjusting the intensity of the diodes, billions of colors can be formed. When you look at the LED screen from a certain distance, the array of colored pixels are seen as an image.
Whats the differences between LED and LCD
The display technology is different: LCD and LED are two different display technologies. LCD is a display made up of liquid crystals, while LED is a display made up of light emitting diodes.
The display effect is different: LCD has a backlight layer, through the refraction of light to luminous, color saturation is not so high. LED each pixel point can project the red, green and blue primary color of light, so the display effect is more vivid and full.

Let you tell you first what is pixel pitch, somebody call it dot pitch, pitch, they all means the same thing: the distance between an LED displays diodes, as you can see on the picture below
Simply, the smaller the dot pitch, the greater the pixel density, the greater the resolution, the closer the viewing distance, the more detailed the displayed image, and the better the final visual effect for people. Of course, the cost is relatively high
In contrast, the larger the dot pitch, the smaller the pixel density, the smaller the resolution and the farther the viewing distance, the less detailed the displayed image will be, and in the end the viewing distance will have to be extended in order to obtain a better and more detailed visual effect with a larger dot pitch. Of course, the cost is also relatively low.
What pixel pitch should we choose
Well, it depends on you gotta place the LED screen indoor or outdoor.
Indoor, where there is a limit to the viewing distance, a smaller pitch is usually chosen for a better and more detailed visual effect.
But in outdoor areas, where there is no limit to the viewing distance, smaller pixel pitch is also possible, but for lower costs and better value for money, larger spacing is generally chosen.
What the relationship between pixel pitch and viewing distance
At the end, you will probably ask, "How do I know what the appropriate pixel pitch is when I know the viewing distance?
In fact, there is no absolute standard formula for converting viewing distance and pixel pitch in the LED display industry. And everyone's subjective visual perception is different.
But you can refer to the following formula:
Minimum viewing distance (the distance at which a smooth image can be displayed) = pixel pitch (mm) × /
Optimum viewing distance (distance at which a highly visible image can be displayed) = pixel pitch (mm) × /
Maximum viewing distance = screen height (m) × 30

Each area or panel of the display has a receiving card that interpolates the data from the controller and addresses it correctly to the individual panels to make up the entire image. When a receiving card malfunctions, the section or panels that are addressed by the receiving card will fail. The receiving card is designed to be repaired quickly by simply replacing it with a new one and recalibrating, if necessary.
When the display or a section of it goes dark, first check the power supply. Perform a basic inspection to make sure its plugged in and the circuit hasnt been tripped. Check all the connections and make sure everything is secure. If all those things are satisfied and it still doesnt work, a service call is in order. A trained tech will be able to solve the problem quickly.
Occasionally, the module wont be dark enough or bright enough. If there are some plates in the horizontal direction that arent bright enough, check whether the line connection between the normal module and the abnormal one is in good condition, and if not, then replace the bad cable.
Sometimes a module will not have any color. Check for damaged or loose cables. Unplug it, then replug it in a few times and see if that helps. If not, replace the cable. Then check to make sure the cables fit tight. This is a challenging fix for massive outdoor LED displays, so calling a service tech is a good idea.
Think of the display as a giant computer monitor in that it shows the images that you program it to. One of the more common failures of LED displays is a communication error from the controller. Something has interrupted the signal telling the display what to show. Check all the connections, make sure they are secure, then run a check on the controller to make sure its working.
