I would have given this a five star.
The bio balls have to be hand washed ever so often. They will not rinse when you back wash.Or rinse with the filter.
They work very well but do need to be rinsed.
When you used these I would put the mushbag in the filter. Then put the spray head/bar inside the bag. fill the bag with the filter balls. Then the bag closed around the pipe that is in the filter that way they don't float around freely. and that way the balls are easier to take In-N-Out of the filter. When needed to be clean. But they work great. Just didn't know they needed to be taken out every so often.
